Violent Protest In Akure After INEC Picked Jimoh Ibrahim As PDP Candidate (Photos)
Activities in Akure, the economic hub and
capital of Ondo state appeared to have been on standstill following
protest by supporters of the Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP).
The aggrieved supporters are protesting the naming of businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim, as the party’s candidate in the coming governorship election – and the removal of Eyitayo Jegede’s name from the final list released by INEC on Thursday.
