Alan Pardew Early Favourite For West Brom Job
Alan Pardew is the early front-runner for the vacant manager’s position at West Brom. However, there has at this stage been no formal contact.
Alan Pardew has a strong relationship with Albion technical director Nick Hammond, since the two men worked together at Reading.
Pardew made Hammond his goalkeeper coach in 1999, working close with Pardew before he then became Director of Football with the Royals in 2002.
Hammond is now a key member West Brom’s three-man selection panel tasked with recommending the next Head Coach to Chairman John Williams.
West Brom’s owner, Guachan Lai, is back in China but made it clear to his board of directors that he wants a man with Premier League experience., appearing to rule out Michael O’Neill, Chris Wilder and Derek McInnes.
360nobs also understand Sam Allardyce is unlikely to become Tony Pulis’ successor.
