The All Progressives Grand Alliance defeated the All Progressives Congress in Idemili South Local Government.
APGA recorded 5, 742 while the APC got 4,063.
Minister of Labour, Dr. Chris Ngige, is from Idemili South local government area.
PDP also scored 2,629 votes.

Obiano has won 10 out of the 10 local government areas whose results have been announced so far.
The Njikoka, Dunukofia, Awka South, Ayamelum, Anocha, Orumba South, Ekusigo, Aguata, Onitsha North and Ogbaru.
The results of 11LGAs are yet to be announced.
