Arsene Wenger Looking To Sign Leon Goretzka On A Free Transfer

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka his No 1 target for next season, according to reports in the Mirror.
Leon Goretzka , 22, is only contracted to the Bundesliga club until next summer, meaning he will be available to pick up on a free.
The midfielder “is aware of Arsenal’s interest, and the club believe they are in a strong position” after snapping up Sead Kolasinac from Schalke for free in the summer.
Goretzka, 22, is a composed, physical and intelligent player, and he would be an outstanding choice.
Manchester City and Barcelona are also believed to be expressing an interest in Goretzka.
Germany national team general manager Oliver Bierhoff recently dropped a hint that the youngster is set for a move to the Premier League.
‘We feel that England, because of the amount of money you have with TV rights, young talented players like Leroy Sané and [Schalke’s] Leon Goretzka are moving to England and this is not good for our league but also for the quality of our game,’ he said earlier this month.
