Borussia Dortmund Manager Peter Bosz Refusing To Give Up Despite Second Half Disaster Vs Schalke

Borussia Dortmund boss Peter Bosz has vowed to continue, despite his side’s second-half capitulation against derby rivals Schalke today.

A match which at half-time looked set to ease the pressure on the Dortmund boss in the end only turned up the heat further.

“It is hard to analyse and to cope with that,” Bosz, whose side have now taken two points from their last six Bundesliga games, said on the Dortmund website.
“You feel nothing but disappointment. When you lead 4-0 at the break, that cannot be allowed to happen.

“It is now up to me to rebuild the team. We have to continue to believe in ourselves, we have to shed the uncertainty. I am a fighter – I was as a player and I am as a coach too. I am not giving up.”

On the second half, Bosz said: “We didn’t play football any more, lost the ball much too quickly, didn’t use the room that Schalke offered us. If you see how the goals come about, it is much too easy.”

On the red card, he added: “He wanted to help the team in a defensive situation, but went in to aggressively. Clearly, he should not let that happen, but he wanted to help.”
